love we have for God—a love that is a decision we need to make, rather than an
emotional feeling. It can be a personal decision or a corporate one where we
all decide to love one another. And we are to love one another from a pure
heart, fervently. This is only possible because we have been born of the seed
of the Word of God.

second mile, it is unconditional, and it is perfectly demonstrated in Jesus.
Finally, we must see that love proceeds out of faith. The death of Christ would
accomplish God’s purposes, based on both God’s faith and Christ’s faith.

Jesus shed His blood for our redemption. Through various Scriptures we are
introduced to the prophecies given about the love of God, and then we see how
they were fulfilled. Jesus did not simply give up His few earthly possessions
as a man on earth, but He gave up Himself—His own life—as the redemptive price.

Today
Derek lays out practical steps in dealing with your tongue. Be honest with God
and call your problem by its rightful name: it is sin. Confess it and receive
forgiveness and cleansing. From then on refuse sin, say “No” to it, and yield
your tongue to God.
