ASD1-3 CS1-3 Quel est donc le serviteur fidèle et prudent
(Mat. 24:45, Héb. 3:12-29, exhorting daily vs. unbelief)?
CS1-1 Who then is the good and faithful servant?

A1 Agape-Love (Mat. 24:12-13, saved in Persevering to the end) vs. the greatest number whose Love has grown cold

Agape-Love to the end (Mat. 24:12-13, saved, if we give all diligence to make our calling and election sure, 2 Peter 1:1-12), without which we are nothing (1 Cor. 13:1-9), and which many saints have allowed to grow cold, as Jesus said that they would before He comes back (Mat. 24:12).

ASD1-3 Who then is the good and faithful servant who keeps the Gospel as Paul preached it (1 Cor. 15:1, or believed in vain, adding and taking away from it, teaching another Gospel, Gal. 1:9, accursed, 2 Tim. 4:4, fables), who hears what the Spirit says to the Churches (Rev. 3:1-3, not defiling his garments with idle tales, Acts 15:5-29, or by falsifying holy scriptures, Mat. 10:32, avoid such, Rom. 16:17)?

1. He who does the truth comes to the light (John 3:20-21, faithful to sound doctrine, Jude 3, Rev. 22:19, vs. Rom. 11:22, cut off)
2. Those that search the scriptures daily to find the truth and act accordingly (Acts 17:11-12, see also module ASD1-2, Scripture Interpretation 101)

ASD1-2 Scripture Interpretation 101 – the Defence of the Gospel (Phil. 1:7-17) against the spirit of Error (1 John 4:6,1 Cor. 2:12-13, wisdom which the Holy Spirit teaches)

1. Interpreting Scripture through Scripture (2 Peter 1:20-21, vs. Private interpretations)
Question:  Who is the unfaithful servant who believes in vain? (1 Cor. 1:15, accursed, Gal. 1:9)
1st Scripture: Brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you have received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you keep it as I preached it to you - unless you believed in vain (1Cor. 15:1-2).

2nd Scripture (Interpretation): But even if we (Paul), or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed (Gal. 1:8).

Answer:  Those who take away from Paul’s Gospel (sound doctrine, turning to fables, doctrines of demons, 2 Tim. 4:4, i.e. unbelief in the resurrection, 1 Cor. 15:1, the 2nd coming of Jesus, the fullness of the Godhead dwelling in Christ - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Col. 2:9, 2 Cor. 13:14, Mat. 28:19, etc.) Or add to Paul’s Gospel (circumcision, the keeping of the law of Moses, Acts 15:5-29, private interpretations on food, judging fellow servants contrary to sound doctrine, the keeping of days, as if we could not be saved by Paul's Gospel, Rom. 14:1-19, note those who cause divisions contrary to sound doctrine, and avoid them, Rom. 16: 17).

ASD1-1 Scripture Interpretation 101 – the Defence of the Gospel
1. Interpreting Scripture through Scripture (2 Peter 1:20-21, vs. Private interpretations)
Question:  Who is the unfaithful servant who denies Jesus? (Mat. 10:32-33)
1st Scripture: But whosoever denies Me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

2nd Scripture (Interpretation): Peter said: I do not know the man (Jesus) of whom you speak. Then Peter called to mind what Jesus had said to him: Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times (Mark 14:71-72).

Answer:  Those who know Jesus, but deny to know Him

A1 Higher Ground

I m pressing on the upward way
New heights I'm gaining every day
Still praying as I onward bound
"Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."

Chorus:

Lord, lift me up and let me stand
By faith on heaven's table land
A higher plane than I have found
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay
Tho' some may dwell where these abound
My prayer, my aim is higher ground.

I want to live above the world
Tho' satan's darts at me are hurled
For faith has caught the joyful sound
The song of saints on higher ground.

I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright
But still I'll pray till heaven I've found
"Lord, lead me on to higher ground."
